DAVID FRUHLING II - Senior Engagement Professional

David applies his extensive experience in venture capital and his knowledge of the software market to help companies develop business plans and financial models that lead to their receiving funding. David interned at Murphree Venture Partners while earning an MBA, and went on to co-found Advent Networks where he raised more than $27 million over three rounds of financing. David has personally raised venture financing over multiple deals in areas of telecommunications equipment, enterprise software, distributed computing software and industrial technologies. At these companies, Dave has held roles of CEO, COO, CFO and VP Sales and Marketing. David also has a background in technology commercialization having successfully licensed an Internet security technology from CU Boulder to Secure64. Dave led Intel's corporate capital budgeting, and launched an Intel/Siemens joint venture. David has served on many advisory boards, including the Entrepreneurship Steering Committee for the University of Texas at Austin Graduate School of Business and several high tech firms. David earned his M.B.A. in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University.
